20 years of Getty Images shows how celebs have aged

Paparazzi: the scourge of the rich and famous. Every film premiere, beach holiday and lonely cupcake is captured by some desperate long-lensed snapper on a Vespa.

However, it turns out that the flipside of this restless opportunism is that we get to see a play-by-play visual diary of Prince William's hairloss.

Image library Getty is celebrating its 20th anniversary by releasing images of four different celebrities - 111 of each, in chronological order - taken over the past two decades.

As well being able to observe Prince William's hairline retreating over the horizon of his royal, boiled-eggy bonce, you can track Serena Williams' transformation from goofy tennis hopeful to the queen of the sport, Scarlett Johansson's "blonde highlights phase" and Bill Clinton's ageing, which seems to have stopped at the moment he left office.

With those reading glasses on the tip of his nose, he's basically the Geppetto of US politics. The less said about getting wood, wanting no strings action, and lying your head off, the better, of course.
