Coming down after your mince pie high? Not to worry, Easter is around the corner and Cadbury is here to pick you up again/kill you via sugar.
Around the corner? It’s three months away, thinks every rational person before they are reminded that ‘Crème Egg season’ starts in January and lose all sense.
Sure, you can buy ones that have been sitting in your local corner shop from last Easter pretty much all year. But you can’t buy the new Oreo ones.
Imagine the thick shell you know so well, but instead of a centre of gooey fondant, it’s filled with Oreo’s famous cream and crushed biscuits. Yeah, we know.
Naturally, people are very excited about it.
I think these Oreo creme eggs have legit changed my outlook on life— Kieran Ratcliff (@keymanu1) January 10, 2017
But turns out Canada has been keeping these beauties to themselves for around a year:
Thankfully, this year the Cadbury gods have taken mercy on us Brits and gifted the UK with them too. If these don’t resurrect Jesus, nothing will.
Unfortunately, it’s unknown when we might be able to get the normal sized ones (seen in some WEIRD futuristic plastic packaging instead of foil), but we can get the mini ones.
A Cadbury’s spokesperson told Metro:
'As part of our Easter range this year we have launched new Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg 'n' Spoon Oreo, which will be available alongside our existing Oreo Easter products including the Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo Shell Egg and the Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo Easter Egg Sharing Bag.'
Whatever your supermarket allegiance, flock to them NOW, PEOPLE.
