adidas Football have teamed up with icons David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane to re-release one of the most feted boots in the brand's history.

With imagery shot by acclaimed photographer Nick Knight, Zizou will launch the new boot at an event in Paris, with the latest model a reimagining of the classic blue Predator Precision from 2000. That was a big year: Zidane's France were coming off a win in the World Cup to smash Italy in the Euros final and Beckham's post-World Cup redemption was also in full effect, transitioning fully from fancy Dan to genuine idol.

Bringing modern tech to the boot's classic design – lightweight materials and a premium K-Leather upper – it's pretty safe to say that if you manage to get your mitts on a pair of these #LimitedEdition boots, you'll be getting a fair few nods of approval at five-a-side.

You'll still need to work on your touch, though: can't help you much there...

Available in limited numbers online from 8 September
