VIDEO: Grenade explodes during football match

There are many things footballers are used to dealing with during a match. Verbal abuse, aggressive opponents and the possibility of disappointing millions. But this has to be a first.

On Wednesday night, during an AFC Champions League match between Iranian side Sepahan and Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli, Sepahan midfielder Adel Kolahkaj found an unusual object on the pitch.

Thinking nothing of it, he threw it to the side. But Kolahkaj had actually just picked up a grenade which then exploded and luckily, injured no-one.
