
New York dog lovers have been getting inventive in a recent movement to get round an obstructive dog ban.
As it currently stands, The New York City’s Metropolitan Transit Authority only allows leashed service or emotional support dogs to ride the subway, while everyone else’s dog is banned from riding underground.
Or as they put it, “No person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container.”
No bag. No pet. Thems the rules. It’s harsh, contextless and rather to the point.
But as many an animal lover will tell you, it’s folly trying to separate an owner from its dog, so New Yorkers have been coming up with special tricks and loopholes to get round this dog ban.
If you can’t have a dog on the New York subway without a bag…. New Yorkers will just get really good bags.
