342 Batmen Set World Record

Calgary, Canada has just seen the largest assembly of Dark Knights that the world has ever known.

Comic Book Resources reports that a large number of Batmen descended on the headquarters of Nexen Energy yesterday as part of a fundraiser for the social charity United Way.

The assembled Batpeople set a new Guinness World Record of 342, destroying the previous record of 250 the way Christian Bale destroys a lighting assistant’s confidence.

Looking at the photo, there is a sense of what might have been, as we can see at least two Jokers, and one each of Catwoman, Bane, The Riddler, Poison Ivy and The Penguin that, had they dressed correctly, could have boosted the record even further.

One question remains: was catering provided? And if so, did the list of orders go like this?: Dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner, dinner (etc.)

In unrelated news, shares in Wayne Industries dropped a full 6 points after 342 members of staff called in sick.
