The master British perfumer has collaborated on fragrances for everyone from Aston Martin to Guerlain, and his latest creation, Enigma, fuses cognac, ginger and tobacco. It would make for a terrible cocktail, but it works remarkably well as a scent. It’s available from Harrods and Fortnum & Mason, at £195 for 100ml.
