Woman's stolen car returned after terrible lost & found sign

Proof that through the internet all things are possible, provided you’re ready for a side order of hilarity.

Mexican woman Zaira Salazar Medina found herself in need of some digital detectives following the disappearance of her truck in Hermosillo, North West Mexico.

Zaira set up a Facebook appeal for her missing truck, along with a rather basic drawing of the 1991 Nissan with its license plate.

And as the internet does, users piled in on the appeal, photoshopping the drawing into a number of interesting scenarios.

According to Spanish language publication Excelsior, the lampooning became so great that Zaira gave up hope of finding her truck and subsequently closed her account.

However, help was soon at hand, as following the campaign, Zaira received a call informing her that her truck has been found near a local market and towed by authorities, which the Municipal Police later confirmed.

So never let a lack of artistic skills stop you from finding hope. Just maybe consult a police sketch artist before you enlist help from the internet first.
