The 'traditional curtain raiser' to the new football season finally took place yesterday, bringing an end to the agonising football-free summer we've all had to endure.
But as Arsenal were busy beating Chelsea to claim the Community Shield, poor old Michael Owen was getting more criticism for his lacklustre commentary for BT Sport, with thousands taking to Twitter to declare 'Michael Owen's voice is like a vacuum for joy' and simply 'I forgot how boring Michael Owen was'.
