Skydiver's chute opens early and tangles with chopper


Your parachute opening too late during a skydive is a possibly fatal issue, but opening too early could also lead to pretty nightmarish outcomes

One British skydiver escaped unharmed, but only just, when his chute opened before he had hurled himself from the chopper.

It happened over the fields of Bedfordshire, moments before a jump when the skydiver's chute deployed and tangled with the landing skids.

His fellow divers, thinking on their feet, managed to cut him free and he used his reserve chute to get him back to terra firma safely.

However, the drama didn't end there as the jumpers left in the helicopter had to battle to pull the tangled chute into the chopper. Check it out...
