Ever since Venus Williams made her first Grand Slam final back in 1997, she and her sister Serena have almost permanently been there or thereabouts at the summit of women’s tennis.
At times it has seemed as though there hasn’t been a Wimbledon final which one of them hasn’t won. However, believe it or not, there have been other winners this century.
With Serena absent from the All England Club’s courts this summer as she awaits the birth of her first child, we’ve given you a straightforward quiz to while away the next few days before her older sister is either eliminated or makes a march for glory.
We’ve given you the year, and all you need to do is tell us whether Venus was victorious, whether Serena lifted the winner’s trophy, or whether someone else broke their stranglehold.
Good luck!
