No, Vans aren't branching out to support niche highland textile industries - 2015 really is the Chinese year of the sheep. To celebrate, the skate brand has put together a new range of woollen footwear that, surprisingly, isn't knitted.
Reworking the Sk8-Hi high top and versatile Slip-On trainers, the Year of The Sheep collection is kitted out in sheepskin leather - a softer material than cow hide, with its warming fleece left intact.
This luxurious material results in each of the four shoes in the line up sporting a foot-insulating layer of wool on the insole. We can practical hear your toes curling in envy.
Available in subtle monochromes of black and white, the Year of the Sheep range looks ideal for the cooler months of 2015.
Set to launch in China on 10 January, it's yet to be announced when this woolly pack will be available to the rest of the world.
