And it's being heralded with the release of this new Vintage Sunfade pack from Vans' California imprint. It consists of the Old Skool Reissue CA and the Sk8-Hi Reissue CA which have been sulphur-dyed and stonewashed in mellow grey, plum, mint, red and 'chinchilla' tones. The classic sidestripes have been removed in mock-aging fashion giving that worn-in look.
While pre-faded items can sometimes come off a bit naff, these strike just the right 'used' balance without trying too hard; you can also look down at your feet and try and convince yourself that the sun has been shining down on you for the last few months.
