In "questions we never asked but are somehow still extremely glad we now have the answers to" news, The Smithsonian have created a video revealing the journey your luggage takes after you check it in at the airport.

Your bags apparently travel for a whopping six miles before they're shoved on the plane, and are automatically shepherded through scanners and over fancy little train-track-things.
