The marketing minds at M&S will be salivating like Pavlov’s dog over these beautiful and slightly hypnotic cinemagraphs of food preparation.
They are the work of Russian photographer Daria Khoroshavina and her partner in cooking Olya.
They run the Kitchen Ghosts blog where Olya prepares the meals while Daria makes them into these striking high quality GIFs, in which a still photograph is brought to life by a looping animated section.
These cinemagraphs are then used to wonderfully illustrate Olya’s recipes, like a BuzzFeed article written by Nigella Lawson.
Olya and Daria already hope to take their project much further and have already talked about shooting an ad for a restaurant and illustrating a cook book.
Goodbye Jamie Oliver.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
