There's been another sighting of the Thames monster

Well, perhaps there really is something in the water after all.

A few days after someone taking a video from the Greenwich cable car appeared to spot a mysterious giant object in the River Thames, another clip has turned up online capturing another murky presence.

YouTube user Lea K posted the clip (above) on Saturday and wrote "Everyone was looking at a freaking rainbow and no one paid attention to this thing ... it's probably just rubbish."

Oh Lea, how wrong you are. Because we're now convinced. It's definitely a giant river monster. She also used the hashtag #tessie, which we're fully in favour of using as well.

You can take a look at the original footage of Tessie below. Filmed by YouTuber Penn Plate, he wrote, "Something huge was moving under the water and then briefly surfaced. Are there whales in the Thames?? Or is it some weird submarine."

A whale is certainly a possibility: just over ten years ago the famous Thames Whale - a juvenile female Northern bottlenose whale - was discovered in the river, the first time such an animal had been seen in the Thames since records began in 1913, although she sadly died, despite a concerted attempt to rescue her.

But it's not a whale. It's a monster. Definitely.
