The new M&S range takes note of the current trend for printed shirts

“Give the people what they want.” As a business rule, you can’t go far wrong with that. Unless the people happen to want loads of free or illegal stuff, in which case your business may face closure within weeks.

Anyway, the point is that M&S is using this motto extremely cannily in its latest menswear range.

Having witnessed printed shirts dominate catwalks across the globe of late, as well as seeing sales of the style in M&S stores increase by 50 per cent, the high-street retailer has unveiled a superb new collection of the items for its Autograph autumn/winter capsule.

Our favourite is the dark blue, pheasant-covered number you see here (£35), but the range also boasts some pleasantly eye-catching deer-patterned and floral offerings, too. Go get your hands on – and arms in – them now.
