Although the combination of beer and shampoo might sound like some sort of ironic hipster-fuelled creation, this particular product is rooted in the past, rather than the present.
Designer Frank Leder's Wheat Beer Shampoo is based on a recipe handed down from Austrian artisans and contains only natural organic ingredients, including various plants and herbs.
Leder has given it a slight modern spin but, coupled with the vintage bottle design, he's aimed to create a shampoo that recalls a different time.
If you want to make your hair smell good enough to drink then a bottle will set you back around $55 (£36). You can buy yours here.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
