The Spam Burger On A Pineapple Cake Bun

Fun fact: Hawaiian pizza actually originated in Canada.

Why are we telling you this? Because the biggest issue regarding this dish isn't its sketchy geographical roots; rather its pineapple topping, viewed as a sweetly delivered sacrilege for most pizza enthusiasts.

Yep, it takes a brave soul to add pineapple to a classic comfort food, like Mathew Ramsey at Porn Burger, who’ll probably have equal fan mail and hate mail on the back of this creation: a pineapple cake upside down sandwiching a spam burger furnished with carb-o-licious toppings.

Sweet? Salty? Spicy? This burger packs the lot, mixing sharp cheddar, beef patty ground with spam, Riesling cheese sauce, and, most belly-rumbling of all, Jalapeno-rubbed bacon.

Interestingly, Ramsey's christened the dish as ‘Spamela Anderson’, which we’re sure staunch vegetarian Pamela Anderson will be over the moon about.

Though if she does kick up a fuss, they can always call it a 'Hawaiian Burger'.
