The Ship-Shaped Hospital

Trust a Russian billionaire to go and design a hospital in the shape of a luxury cruise liner. And yes, it's looking 'shipshape'...

Indeed, this bizarre blueprint is from Monaco-based moneyman Vasily Klyukin, who recently announced plans to construct his unorthodox medical building as part of a major economic redevelopment around the northeastern Tunisian town of Enfidha.

Unsurprisingly, the aptly-named White Sails Hospital & Spa caters to the sort of patients who could probably buy their way to good health. So far one investor is behind the project and it could get underway by next year.

Even more peculiarly, Klyukin is insistent that the medical staff will be required to dress up as sailors, and he explains his reasons for the odd theme in the press release: "My health condition has to be checked every six months. That is why I know this feeling very well – every time I'm approaching the white building of the clinic, I don't feel any joy. But I would like to show you the hospital, where there is no room for fear.”

That's debatable. We're getting sea sick just looking at it.
