Russia. 2018. The World Cup final. England Captain Mark Noble, his hair playfully tussled by the tournament's golden boot winner Andy Carroll, lifts the world cup aloft, basking in the ultimate footballing glory before taking a step back and handing the cup to his coach, his mentor, the Three Lions' master tactician Sam Allardyce, who, unfortunately, is too busy removing his shirt, tying his tie around his forehead and gyrating his body for the millions watching on at home.
Ok, so we're getting slightly ahead of ourselves, but it all starts with a first step: Big Sam has officially been made England boss, signing a two-year deal to take him to the next major tournament and beyond.
