Move aside Christmas Pudding, you have some serious competition on your hands.
Essex baker Godfreys has teamed up with advertising agency Karmarama to create this astonishing Christmas dinner doughnut, aka the puntastic Ho-Ho-Honut.
It features sage-infused dough, dusted with turkey salt and a roasted potato crumb finish, with cured maple candied bacon and a cranberry drizzle glaze. Its piece de resistance, its star on the tree, however, is the luxurious gravy-filled centre.
Mark Godfrey, owner of the bakery in Hornchurch, said, “To start with it sounded a bit crazy, but classic flavour combinations, a wealth of baking experience and a bit of Christmas spirit have made it into something really special. We’re sure our customers will agree.”
Currently they're only available in Godfrey's flagship store in Hornchurch, with limited quantities - so get down to Essex fast if you want a taste of the festive action.
