We like drinking (responsibly), therefore we like pubs. Pubs, bars, watering holes, inns, taverns, saloons, alehouses, hostelries, hotel bars… anywhere that we can sip the amber nectar basically.
Given the amount of uncertainty real-life pubs have had over the last year or so, it has meant that we have learned to love them even more.
With that in mind, we wanted to write a love letter to the local boozer by showcasing the pubs in the movies that we would love to visit in real life.
We recommend reading this one in your local (if you are lucky enough to have one) and raise a glass to the best movie pubs.
Cheers!

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
