So sushi donuts are an actual thing now

Donuts are the perfect invention. Every single one of the hoopy gloopy b*stards is a deep-fried American dream made real, combining award-worthy design with ungodly layers of shiny sugar.

And try as hip’n’haughty cafes might, they fail at every juncture when attempting inject a little bit of classy culture into the classic dirt snack.

First came the mortifying arrival of Cronuts. And now, in complete defiance of God’s will, we have sushi donuts.

Created by Sam, a “vegan food creatrix” (NOT A WORD, SAM), the rice-based rings have caused quite the stir on Instagram.

She made them by greasing a donut mould with coconut oil, adding cooled sushi rice, decorating with black sesame, ginger, wasabi, cashew mayo and avocado, and then forfeiting her soul to Lucifer.
