No, we haven't finished the Christmas shopping either. Our ideas for New Year's are currently a vague notion of "doing something nice". To bring our woefully poor planning into even sharper clarity, adidas has just unveiled its lead trainer of spring 2015.
The ever versatile Stan Smith has been moulded into just about every conceivable shape over the years, but the forthcoming "White Perf" is one of the most compelling designs we've ever seen.
In contrast to the furry colours of Pharraell Williams' latest rendition, the "White Perf" remodels the upper in clean white leather, covered in a neat perforated pattern. The tongue and toe cap provide some unpierced contrast, along with a logo-embossed heel tab. Thick white rope lacing finishes off the minimal look.
With an exact release date and price yet to be announced, we would tell you to put it in your 2015 calendar, but you probably haven't got one yet have you? Thought not.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
