Some good news if you’re in the market for some wearable tech which doesn't automatically make you twice as punchable: Ralph Lauren has got in on the action.
Indeed, until now, state-of-the art tech clobber had looked a little gawky, falling somewhere between Tron outfit and nerdish hipster – but this new high tech polo shirt looks set to be a game (set and match) changer.
Built to better the wearer’s personal fitness, the shirt comes with sensors knitted into its core, each able to read biological and physiological information which is taken by a OMsignal black box and beamed onto a specialist smartphone app using The Cloud.
From there your movement data is ran into a number of algorithms which then provide biometrics including your heartbeat, respiration, stress level and energy output, promising new ways in how you set your new personal best and also keep your fitness tip-top.
And being Ralph Lauren, you don’t need us to tell you good it looks.
No word on when it’s getting a proper release but believe us - we haven’t been this excited about on-court activity since scientists programmed a robot named Andy Murray to crack a smile.
