Hitting that busy time of the year? Office life an inferno of deadlines and targets? Stuck shivering at home with a broken boiler with nothing good left on Netflix? Don't worry, Puma has a new happy place for you - at least from the ankle down.

This is their latest iteration of the XS850, invitingly titled "Natural Calm".

While still capable of pounding the pavement or track, the '90s running shoe no longer looks suitable for its original purpose - the upper of suede, nubuck, and mesh overlays has been kitted out in a refreshing cool blue and grey, while the Trinomic midsole rounds off the soothing look in stark white.

Set to drop on the Size? online store within the next few weeks, we recommend pairing them with a quilted bath robe and whale music.

He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
