These trainers give a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘over-the-top’.
Inspired by rapper Kid Cudi’s style, renowned footwear designer Giuseppe Zanotti has whipped up some truly funky red kicks, doing away with laces and instead incorporating some of the biggest Velcro straps we’ve ever laid eyes on.
With a red Nappa leather finish and contrasting white midsole, the designer has cited futurism as the key theme in both Cudi’s style and thus this heavily-set duo which even have the artist’s branding etched onto the tongue.
While they wouldn't be practical for a five-a-side pitch, the level of comfort coupled with the fact they'd be great for snowy conditions means you'd certainly benefit from the hefty design, even if some think you might have got yourself tangled up in a hosepipe.
You’ll be able to strap yourself in from next month when they go on sale from Giuseppe Zanotti boutiques.
