Were we to encounter the spot-covered Nike Free Orbit II in the wild, we'd leave it well alone, fearful of the poisons its colourway declares. Were we to encounter them in a Nike retailer, we'd be parading around the store with them in minutes, admiring ourselves in those funny ankle level mirrors.
Thankfully, the latter scenario is far more likely, as Nike's angular, nodule-covered Free Orbit II slip-ons have returned for an autumnal release, sporting three polka-dot colourways right out of the caterpillar lookbook.
Sitting astride the flexible, Free 5.0 cushioned sole, the lightweight runner has a contrasting spiky-to-smooth upper texture thanks to its pyramid layers and medial zippered closures.
Set to arrive in Nike stockists from 25 September, we will personally disown you should you try and wear striped socks with these. Or any socks at all, for that matter.
