Nike's forthcoming Kobe Bryant trainers are a treat for the eyes

What did you get for your last birthday? Bet it wasn't a pair of your very own Nike trainers created with you in mind. If you did, you must be Kobe Bryant, because that's what the iconic sportswear brand has done to celebrate his 38th birthday.

The new Kobe 11 trainers come in a Mambacurial colourway, paying homage to the American basketball's love of football, in particular his favourite team, FC Barcelona. You might notice this tribute by the representation of the teams colours, featuring a blue and red Flyknit upper, as well as yellow leather detailing nodding to their signature stripes.
