If the wait for the 2014/2015 Premier League season weren’t galling enough, Nike have gone and unveiled the official match ball. Lucky it happens to be special then.
The Nike Ordem, also set to be booted up and down pitches in Italy’s Serie A and Spain’s La Liga, is, according to the sports firm chief bods, the most innovative, aerodynamic and tech-savvy football yet, and assembled specifically with the goal of, yes, goals, but optimal touch, too.
This factor comes from the excitingly titled fuse-welded panels, offering unprecedented flight control with special grooves weaved to grip, channeling the air to produce better trajectory, and maximum visibility (read: it’s bright), and teasing the prospect of some top-flight wonder goals.
Excited? Good. You can recommence staring at your watch and counting the minutes now.
The Nike Ordem is now available at Nike.com
