There are three kinds of people who own a flag: people in the military, people who used to be in the military and concerningly zealous villagers who happen to have their own flag pole.
We'd happily add ourselves to a new fourth kind: those who own a pair of Nike Roshe Run NM SP 'Great Britain' special editions.
Nike's lightweight running shoe returns with its typical minimal construction, the soft textile upper supported by a reinforced toe box, sitting neatly astride a Nike Free running sole. The Union Jack colourway of red, white and royal blue is made all the more explicit by the flag's appearance on the tongue tab.
With a price and arrival date yet to be announced, we'll have to carry on wearing our thoroughly unpatriotic trainers for the near future.
