Given that two decades of matrimony only equates to a set of fine china, it would be understandable if you harboured a cynical attitude towards 20th anniversaries.
Ignoring fussy old plates, luxury fashion brand Hugo – which in 2013 enjoys its 20-year milestone – is paying tribute with a special new collection. In keeping with the brand’s staple palette, the only colours employed are red, white and black.
The designs themselves – which include Hugo 20 jeans and slim tailored suits – embody the simple, clean shapes that have influenced the Hugo Boss sub-brand since the early Nineties. Prices range from £150-£600, and Hugo is also set to launch a pop-up exhibition at London’s Saatchi Gallery from 31 July- 1 September, in which 20 creatives from across the globe will display 20 exclusive works that define the mindset of the fashion house.
New stunning outfits and a modern art installation? If you’re still around in 2093, it might be worth pencilling the Hugo centenary in your diary.
