Chris Evans might have waved goodbye to the motoring show but his former co-presenter has just signed a two series deal with the BBC for a reported £2 million.
Former Friends star and Emmy awards controversy causer Matt LeBlanc has today been announced to have signed a contract with the BBC to present a further two series of Top Gear.

The future of the show was cast into doubt after the last series when presenter Chris Evans announced his departure due to rapidly falling viewing figures. He has since admitted that he thinks Top Gear and Matt LeBlanc were "made for each other".
BBC Two editor Patrick Holland told BBC News, "I am thrilled Matt LeBlanc is returning to Top Gear. He's a huge talent whose love of cars is infectious. I can't wait for the series to return to BBC Two next year."
LeBlanc will be flanked by Chris Harris and Rory Reid, with regular appearances from Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz and The Stig when they return for a second series. There's no word on whether a new presenter will be introduced to replace Evans and form a presenting duo with LeBlanc, or if he'll go it alone. Friend-less, if you will.
