Now although we might spend most of our lives in trainers, we never treat them with quite as much respect as they deserve.

That might well be changing though with this new set of high-end 'sneakers' from YSL.

The brainchild of creative director Stefano Pilati, the Spring/Summer collection combines classic style with new detailed finishing. They range from £280 to £425 so automatically demand a level of admiration not usually given to trainers.
