We all know that we should never judge a book by its cover, but what about by its spine?
That’s exactly what this Instagram account is doing. Called Snide Octopus, the person or persons are travelling the UK and “causing disturbances in libraries nationwide.”
The account takes photos of the spines of books in libraries and adds witty captions underneath. There are also weekly “Community Snide” caption contests every Friday if you think you can do better and want to get involved.
Check out some of the best posts below.
Disclaimer: we cannot guarantee that these captions are entirely truthful to the actual content of the books.
Top stuff, it’s almost like we’re massively jealous we didn’t think of the idea first. THIS IS ALWAYS THE WAY, ISN’T IT?
