High quality headphones are one of those things you really can’t scrimp on. We’ve all been witness to the incredible drop in quality when you have to emergency-buy a tinny, noise-leaking £8.99 pair in a supermarket after you leave yours at home.
And these new Melomania 1 wireless in-ear headphones from Cambridge Audio have shot straight to the top of our wishlist. The company is best known for its hi-fi and home cinema products, and the Melomania is its first product of this kind.
They are true wireless earphones: no cables at all.
The most notable thing about the model is its battery life. Cambridge Audio says the Melomania 1 last nine hours on a single charge, significantly more than other true wireless models. They also come with a charging carry case with a further four charges – meaning you can get nearly 40 hours of use on the go. Unlikely to be caught short, then.
Battery capacity aside, the Melomania 1 have some impressive specs. Their speaker drivers are graphene-coated, and Bluetooth 5.0 tech promises significant signal stability (an ongoing issue for wireless headphones).
High quality mics and noise-cancelling tech also allow you to take calls that are clear and background-noise free. An incredibly low weight – 4.6g each – means they’re not cumbersome to carry around with you.
And they’re even water and sweat resistant – so you don’t have to worry about getting them wet when it starts to rain.
You can buy the Melomania from Cambridge Audio from 11th June at a cost of £119.95.
