Stealing petrol from a police car is a pretty daring thing to do. Especially if you're getting your girlfriend to take a picture of it.
But there's an incredibly fine line between daring and stupid and then an even finer line between stupid and absolutely inexcusably idiotic.
Twenty-year-old Michael Baker decided to take it one step further and post the offending picture to his Facebook page, for the full view of his 380 friends. After being passed around his hometown of Jenkens, it was eventually seen by police who arrested him.
Still unperturbed by his brush with the law, Baker updated his page saying “just got out of jail” and later “yea lol i went too jail over facebook.” One friend who hadn't seen the pic was told “yea lol u would just have to seen it it was funny as hell tho.”
We're off to spend the afternoon panicking about the future of the human race. See you tomorrow.
