What’s the last thing you Googled?

Whatever it is, it’s been registered forever. Yes, there’s no taking back ‘How to boil an egg', and in its small way it might just have influenced the top search trends of the last 12 months.

And now the tech titans have released lists of the most popular trending topics. The biggest topic was Robin Williams’s death in August, with the sad news seemingly sending keyboards ablaze as fans and well-wishers worldwide attempted to find out more information about the beloved actor's passing.

Other big stories to make the ‘trending searches’ list included Ebola, Malaysia Airlines, Flappy Bird, ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and ISIS; essentially giving us a snapshot at 2014 with a couple of sentences.
