The human tongue is synomonous with sense. That much is simple science. But if you had any sense, you’d marvel at the tongue running up this new pair of Converse, sporting a two tone look immediately maverick to the usual Converse universe DNA.
The Split Tongues are a marvellous evolution of the brand’s beloved Jack Purcell line, playing with the tongue in a more literal and shoe-based manner, affording us all something that bit different for winter and spring with the seasons shifting and boot-donning still looking a tad hasty.
The lo-tops, which come available in three different primary colourways (bordo, black, rusty, warmstone) and feature the same shiny toe cap and neat stitching fans of the Purcell have become accustomed to, are finished by two tone accents in both the tongue and the material running up from the heel.
Available to buy for £60 from Converse.com, each shade available seems like a pertinent choice with the mud and snow-splattering seasons firmly upon us.
Guaranteed to leave any admirer tongue-tied.
