New line takes cues from trend-setting musicians

Arctic Monkeys inspire latest M&S range

Musicians have something of a chequered reputation when it comes to style. For every slick-suited Kanye West there’s a backwards-dressed Kris Kross.

Here in 2011, however, most of our pop stars are sartorially sound (we said most, Lady Gaga). So, it’s hardly surprising that M&S looked to the charts when designing its new range.

Following the brand’s first formalwear-only Limited Collection, this instalment boasts both stylish formal — including suits from £99 — and casualwear for the first time.

The likes of Alex Turner and Tinie Tempah provided inspiration for the collection’s jumpers, leather bombers and coats starting from £39.50.

So if your wardrobe’s hankering after some laidback rock chic, you don’t have to wait. Or now we’ve reminded you of Jump, you could simply put your current clothes on the wrong way round.
