What with the drizzle, short days and gradual death of greenery, autumn doesn't feature very highly on our seasonal ranking (it's third). We're hugely grateful that adidas Originals has sought to lift the gloom with the release of two fitting colourways for one of their classic trainers.
Following cold on the heels of a summer filled with classic re-releases, it's the turn of the retro-styled ZX710 of 1987 to make a welcome comeback.
The Spice Yellow option colours the suede upper in fallen-leaf hues, while the Ash Grey is an altogether frostier affair of grey and neo whites. Both sport the signature three-stripes and vintage webbing midsole design of the original trainer, with a leather heel badge providing some added flare.
Available for £75 from 1 September, here's hoping they look a shade out of place in that India Summer we're all dreaming of.
