

Much like the railways, flying used to be an elegant, enjoyable experience, where the journey was almost as good as the destination. Then Ryanair came along.
Being stuck in a tin can in the air for several hours is not particularly good for the health, which is why Thomas Cook has created this useful infographic, detailing seven exercises that people can perform during the flight, in order to keep those limbs supple and the blood flowing.
You might get a few funny looks with a couple of them, but it's better than getting cramp and hurdling the sleeping person next to you to get through to the aisle.
