52 David Bowie stamps are currently floating into space
14 March 2017

Beloved musical and cultural icon David Bowie is now actually a starman waiting in the sky.

In what could be described as a bit of a space oddity, 52 Bowie album cover stamps are currently floating up into the stratosphere.

The 52 commemorative stamps, created specially by the Royal Mint, are to represent each of the 52 years of Bowie’s recording career.

After floating way up to the edge of space, the helium balloons carrying them will burst, allowing the stamps to float back down, honouring Bowie’s The Man Who Fell To Earth.

Fans are invited to guess where they think that the stamps will land (good luck with that) to be in with a chance of winning one of the limited edition album covers.
