Is This The Most Dramatic Football Trailer Ever?

tackle.jpg

Football - it's only a game. A monumental, operatic, life-changing game, that enthrals millions the world over. But it's only a game. Which Pro Evolution Soccer seems to have forgotten.

To whip up a head of steam for the release of PES 2015, the advertising team behind the latest Pro Evo title has employed the dulcet tones of one Mario Götze to narrate the slow-motion montage of twists, turns and net-bulging shots. While all of this is pretty standard fare for the world of football games, what Götze's is actually saying is a touch... overstated.

"Only one place matters... the proving ground... the hallowed ground... le carré vert."

It's like they got Kanye West to write the script and adjusted every other word for theatrical impact. Still, it does look pretty special. Prepare for the drama below.

PES 2015 arrives on 13 November
