Olympic skiers attacked by At-At walkers


Sochi’s 2014 Winter Olympics might have its detractors, but you have to hand it to the organisers for introducing their newest crowd-puller: AT-AT walkers.

As demonstrated in the video below, medal-hungry skiers now have the extra obstacle of facing the land-stalking machines made famous in the Star Wars franchise - and, unsurprisingly, they don’t get very far before a cruelly aimed laser beam takes them out.

Okay, so the eagle-eyed among you will have sussed that the footage isn’t 100 per cent genuine. But, all the same, if this doesn’t makes you tune into the on-piste events from this moment on, then frankly nothing will.
