Seth Macfarlane says Family Guy movie finally on the way

familyguy1.jpg

Talk about taking your time.

A Family Guy movie has been in the works since 2008 but creator Seth McFarlane now says it is coming 'soon'.

He tweeted the declaration in response to a fan request on Twitter asking for an update on the project.

In 2012, McFarlane stated that "we do know what the Family Guy movie will be", cryptically adding that they were aiming to do "something that would be impossible to do on TV".

The show has been running for 14 seasons; it took The Simpsons 17 seasons before they finally made a feature length production in 2007 - a huge box office success, raking in over $500m worldwide.

While we're waiting, let's enjoy this classic clip, just because it's brilliant.
