These are apparently the 10 funniest jokes in the world

The ShortList.com office is basically one giant laugh-a-minute zingerfest, so to us, these gags are pretty standard stuff.

A team of scientists at Oxford University have seemingly worked out the ten funniest jokes ever, working with undergraduates at the London School of Economics.

Amazingly, there are no gags about Keynsianism, neoliberalism or modern monetary theory, but don't let that put you off - read on to discover which rib-ticklers are, scientifically, the funniest around.

And no, there are none provided by Dapper Laughs.
