Anything Marvel-related tends to be a recipe for success these days.
Black Panther is far and away the highest-grossing film of 2018, the second season of Jessica Jones is killing it since landing on Netflix earlier this month. Basically if you’ve got powers and a Marvel stamp on you, you’re a damn hit machine.
You know what’s also good? Nike. You can see where we’re going with this.
Matthew Walsh, who hit the headlines with his response to the Dragon Ball Z x adidas collaboration last year, has been back at it, imagining a series of Nike shoes based around characters in Marvel’s Avengers franchise.
“After saving the universe again and again it was about time these heroes got their own Nikes,” Walsh writes, including separate captions for each of the Avengers.
His designs come hot on the heels of another designer turning Nike Air Monarchs into a pair of Assassins from The Simpsons.
As Hypebeast notes, the designs – part of a partnership with The Sole Supplier – have been unveiled in advance of Avengers: Infinity War, which is due out in late April.
Anyway, we know you just want to take a look at them. First off, here’s Black Panther…
There are also detailed designs for Iron Man:
Oh, and Groot:
