Savile Row Comes To The High Street

Purchasing a suit on Savile Row — the shared London address of the world’s finest suitmakers — can be an emotional process. Especially when it comes to handing over your credit card.

But if you want the best of British suitmaking without the associated cost, help is at hand. Richard James, one of Savile Row’s most prominent tailors, has teamed up with Marks & Spencer to craft a range that offers just that.

The 24-piece ‘Savile Row Inspired’ collection features all the quirks and silhouettes that have become hallmarks of James’s career. It’s an inimitably British collection, aided by the designer ensuring that the range contains all the fine fabrics and intricate attention to detail associated with shops that don’t use price tags.

The collection will be available in 20 stores and online from 30 March, and with suits ranging in price from £299 to £349, shirts at £49.50 and silk ties at £29.50, there’s no excuse for not buying yourself a fine outfit, no matter how tight your belt.
